HORROR & CRIME COMICS by MORT TODD

While an Editor at Cracked, Mort Todd managed to sneak Monsters Attack! on the publishing schedule. When the publisher found out he cancelled the series with #2. When the sales figures came in and #1 had sold 250,000 copies, #3 was released several months later. Monsters Attack! was a mix of comics and articles on creatures on film and in pop culture. Contributors included such EC and Warren horror veterans as John Severin, Steve Ditko, Gene Colan, Gray Morrow, Alex Toth, Bhob Stewart and others. While a labor of love and a newsstand success, Monsters Attack! was cancelled soon after Mort left Cracked.

Since then, Mort has written and drawn horror comics for many publications. Many of the following first appeared in his mini-comic series Weird Menace, while some are currently appearing in Free Comics.
